Gamelist To End All Gamelists
A gamelist by Ben StokerThis is my opinion of the greatest of the greats. It's the "Top 10" of my game collection.
Galaga
Quarter after quarter went into this Arcade game. I remember the first time I played this game (I was 4) I got SO frustrated but, then again, it was my first time playing an arcade game. Since then, I've "rolled the score" on several of these machines in several states across the US.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Come on...if you don't agree with me you need to have your head checked. Hours of my life have been spent attempting to master all of the characters in this game only to be outdone by my friends when they all show up to get get some "Melee" action on.
Perfect Dark
By far the best console FPS out there (shared only with Goldeneye on the N64). "So-and-so has the case." (2 seconds later...) "So-and-so has dropped the case." GOTTA LOVE IT!
Shadow of the Colossus
Massive in its proportions. Small in its overall scale. This game has it all. From complex problem solving to enjoyable free-roaming horse riding. This game is for everyone. Period.
Shadowgate
The Myst of the Nintendo generation. This game is for the problem solvers in the crowd. It allows for the usual gamers to get their fantasy play on and for the not-so-usual gamers to enjoy what the NES had to offer. First time through had me up for 36 hours straight trying to figure out the riddles.
Battlefield 2
For those of us that love FPS games but want a bit more structure, DICE made BF2. This game is for the 1-step thinkers and the 3-step thinkers alike. 1-steppers can enjoy the fast paced action that the firefights and aerial dogfights employ. 3-steppers can enjoy the thrill of out-thinking the opposing commander as they issue orders to the surrounding squads. It also makes for some highly entertaining online videos.
Unreal Tournament 2004
Hop in and frag away. THIS is the definitive FPS. You know it. I know it. What else is there to say?
